Born and raised in Guam, I moved to Philadelphia in 2018 to pursue college, my intentions were and still are to go into filmmaking. But as the months went by, I picked up photography to better understand “the frame.” Through the process, I was able to come across “street photography.” It was initially a slow growing relationship, but as the repetitions increased and photos got better, I started getting addicted. One can ride the rhythm of the streets, be amongst the people in it, and maybe even take a slice of that moment back home. I think more than anything, I am most attracted to moments. The moment of finding peace in the chaos through a rectangular frame. Given, I am already at a location that I can properly compose and layer. Majority of these photographs have been taken in Philadelphia, the rest being New York, during the hours of serenity.
