I come from Taipei, Taiwan, where I takes most of my photos. I had my first camera in 2009 and had been self-teaching for several years before I finally signed up a photography course around 2015. After learning different genres of photography, I am keen on macro and street photography. I enjoy taking photos and observing the world through the camera. With macro lens, I take a close-up look into the micro world of the nature. However, on the streets, I prefer keeping a polite distance from the subjects, with no intrusion into their life. Usually, I would look for a beautiful corner on the street and wait for an individual person melting into the scene. Sometimes, when attracted by a subject, I would, on the other hand, find a proper background to frame the subject. Street photography for me is more related to the concept of perspective and aesthetics than to a documentary record of life.
About The Collection
The collection is selected from what I have taken for the past two years. Most of them are accomplished by the playing of light and shadow. Besides, the use of frames and negative space is one of my favorite approaches. What I try to achieve is to isolate a pleasing scene from the bustling streets of the city.
