    About The Collection

When it comes to Dhaka, most of the time we get to hear how overpopulated the city is, or how bad the living conditions are there.
Before photographing streets, I used to think like that too.
But once I started exploring the streets in Dhaka, especially in the old town, I found that this city is full of hidden gems.
The 412 years old capital city of Bangladesh is filled with history, traditions, architecture from Mughal and British era, and people with authentic, unique lifestyles.
Especially the old town of Dhaka is full of life with the essence of true Bengali lifestyle. All the narrow lanes, alleyways are very photogenic, each street have its own vibe and character.
Though in a first glance it might seem very chaotic and crowded, but eventually I fell in love with that chaos.
There is a certain beauty in the middle of that bustling crowds, old buildings, and streets. It’s very raw, vibrant, and part of the daily life.
That’s what I wanted to capture in this series, to show how different and unique life can be in this part of the world.

  • Ayman Nakib

    Ayman Nakib

I am Ayman Nakib from Bangladesh. I have started my street photography journey in 2017 when I was a student of SUST, Sylhet, Bangladesh. I tried to explore the street of Sylhet through my lens and this gave me much joy happiness. I love to explore the candid moments that are happening around me and capture them, hoping to freeze some magical moment with the click of my shutter.
After graduation, I moved back to my hometown Sherpur for a few months and I really enjoyed exploring my hometown in a new way through my viewfinder.
I am currently living in Dhaka. I would love to continue my journey and explore the people, culture and daily life of the places I visit through my photography.

    Ehsanul Siddiq Aranya

I’m Ehsanul Siddiq Aranya from Bangladesh. I was born in Khulna, Bangladesh. I grew up and completed my School and College Education from Jashore, Bangladesh. I’ve Completed my graduation in B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Daffodil International University from Dhaka. Currently I’m living in Dhaka for corporate job purpose. I am professionally a Software Engineer working at Orange Business Development Ltd. which is a Software Company of Bangladesh.
Photography is my hobby and I am a Travel & Street Photographer driven by passion. Travel, Street, People’s lifestyle, daily life and all people related genres are my favorite genres. I started capturing photos in 2010 with my uncle’s Handi-cam, cousin’s Compact, and Point & shoot camera. And then in 2013 I realized the name of “capturing photo” is Photography, Then in 2014, I started with a DSLR camera. In 2014 five of my street photos were exhibited in Drik (A famous art gallery of Bangladesh) in three different Exhibitions. That was a turning point this hobby. Then I started to learning how to capture good photos and learning from each little part of the world. Still I am learning and as ‘collection’ is my second hobby so I combined both of my hobby and started collecting good photos in my portfolio. Clicking different photos of different activities of people, location, and culture with my third-eye and showing them to my favorite people is my hobby.
To me, photography is the medium to show what the world looks like and how it’s changing every day by human. And I am trying to tell the world what I feel about the world via the universal language photography.

  • Pranto Nayan

    Pranto Nayan

I’m Pranto Chakraborty Nayan from Bangladesh. Basically I’m a street and travel photographer. My photography journey started back in 2013 with just mobile phones. Then I continued for while with digital camera also. As I had no camera of my own I used to borrow  cameras from my seniors and brother just to take photos. I was so passionate about this and literally no matter what I kept on clicking photos. Initially I used to click every type of photos but gradually my philosophy changed.  In 2017 I got my own camera. A nikon 7100 with 18-55mm lense. Then after one year I shifted to Canon 6D and Sigma 1.4mm lense. Throughout this journey I went through many struggle but never leave my passion and just with my beliefs that I can I still stand strong and continuing my journey. For me photography is the reflected image of my mind. Whatever I see I try to frame them in a camera. I think photography is magic as it has changed my life drastically and for which I feel blessed.
