Screen Your Greatest Street Photography

Different eyes can see different things. Every day is different since people see it from different points of view. Yet there are similar factors such as craving the capture of unsolicited instants of the daily life, the competency of bestowing order in mayhem the world is facing today. As it has already been seen, some the top photographers were originally street photographers and we are honored to say we have a part in elucidating a chance for this group. We would like to announce our will and eagerness in seeing your creativity in shooting marvelous and splendid moments happening around you in your daily life. The tools you use is not important for us! All we care about is seeing your perspective and point of view in any way you would like to present it.

Winners, Jurors’ Picks and Finalists grant Street Photographers Foundation limited, restricted use of winning photos only to promote the photographers themselves and in connection with marketing the Awards competition itself. Details can be found in the Competition rules.

** Photos are accepted in the contest regardless of their dates and no restrictions are considered.

** Photo Upload Specifications: For best results, upload the highest-quality JPEGs, sized a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side but up to 2000 pixels is even better. Maximum size is 10Mb. The file name should be under 50 characters.

Kiran Karnani

Founder Leica Women Foto Project

Kiran Karnani is a Marketing Executive with a proven track record of driving brand awareness in the premium sector through humanistic marketing strategies. Currently, she is the Vice President of Global Marketing for Hobolite, where she drives the brand’s market presence and desirability. Previously, Kiran served as the Vice President of Marketing for Leica Camera. During her tenure at Leica Camera USA, she was instrumental in expanding the brand’s social media footprint and spearheading initiatives that amplified diverse voices in visual storytelling. Kiran is the founder of the Leica Women Foto Project, an initiative designed to support and amplify the feminine gaze. She has been a guest on photo-interest podcasts including Photo Banter, Creativity Squared, and the Life of Phys.

She is a juror for the Chelsea International Photography Competition, and has served as juror for the Women Street Photographers Annual Exhibition, the Leica Society International Women in Photography Grant and the Alfabetismo Awards. Through her tenure at Leica, Kiran curated community programming at cultural institutions including Palm Springs Photo Festival, Photoville and Fotografiska. In 2020, she pioneered the Leica Women Summit – an annual symposium serving to amplify the female gaze through panel discussions, exhibitions and workshops. Kiran is an active member of Chief, a private women’s business networking organization for senior executives.

Beyond her professional roles, Kiran is dedicated to supporting the photography community. She volunteers as a mentor to photographers, providing marketing insights and guidance to help them navigate the industry. Kiran’s commitment to fostering talent and promoting diversity underscores her dedication to the photographic community and her belief in the transformative power of light in visual storytelling.

David Gibson (1957) is a British street photographer and writer on photography. He was a member of the UP Photographers street photography collective.

Gibson’s books include The Street Photographer’s Manual (2014) and 100 Great Street Photographs(2017) / Street Photography: a History in 100 Iconic Images (2019). His photography has been published in a number of survey publications on street photography, and exhibited in group exhibitions in Britain (including at the Museum of London, which acquired his work for its permanent collection), at the Museum of the City of New York, and in France, Bangkok and Stockholm.

Bruce Gilden (born 1946) is an American street photographer. He is best known for his candid close-up photographs of people on the streets of New York City, using a flashgun. He has had various books of his work published, has received the European Publishers Award for Photography and is a Guggenheim Fellow. Gilden has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1998. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.

Fariba Farshad is co-Founder with Michael Benson of Candlestar, a company that specialises in the creation and development of major new international cultural initiatives including Condé Nast College of Fashion and the Prix Pictet, the global photography prize.  In 2015, Candlestar inaugurated the first edition of Photo London and in five years, the Fair has established itself as a key event in the international art world calendar.

Masoud Gharaei was born in March 1988, He is an iranian photographer . He is known for his photographic projects that take an intimate, anthropological look at aspects of modern life, in particular documenting the social classes of Iran. He is also founder of Street Photographers foundation.
